Working with Your REALTOR

Choose one REALTOR and stay with him/her.

Once you have decided to commit your loyalty to your REALTOR, and you are interested in seeing a home listed with another firm or developer, let your REALTOR arrange for a showing.  Remember, all members of a multiple listing service can show all listings.  It is not necessary to call each REALTOR to see different listings.

If you go to an Open House unaccompanied by your REALTOR, you may not be able to obtain that particular house through your REALTOR.  The REALTOR holding the Open House becomes the selling associate and your REALTOR who has spent hours of time to serve you, will not be compensated.  Call your REALTOR to accompany you to any Open House you attend or inform the REALTOR holding the Open House of the name of the REALTOR with whom you are working.

If you see an ad in the newspaper, a “For Sale” sign or a listing on-line which piques your curiosity, call your REALTOR and ask him/her about it.  Let your REALTOR make the inquiry; he/she can obtain a lot more information from a fellow REALTOR, which will ultimately be more beneficial to you and all parties concerned.
